The Porto Book Fair returns from August 22 to September 7 at the Almeida Garrett Municipal Library, featuring a special tribute to singer-songwriter Sérgio Godinho. The program includes over 100 free cultural activities, from concerts and film screenings to workshops and literary conversations, with opening hours running daily from midday to late evening.

The Porto Book Fair (Feira do Livro do Porto) will take place from August 22 to September 7 at the Almeida Garrett Municipal Library and surrounding gardens. This year's edition pays tribute to legendary Portuguese singer-songwriter Sérgio Godinho, celebrating his contribution to Portuguese music and culture.

The fair's program features over 100 cultural activities, including concerts, film screenings, workshops, theatre performances, and literary conversations. Highlights include the opening ceremony with a tribute to Sérgio Godinho, the presentation of the graphic novel project O Meu Sérgio featuring work by eight Portuguese comic book artists, and special exhibitions such as Os Amigos do Gaspar, celebrating the iconic 1980s television series.

Music programming includes performances by Estilhaços, featuring Adolfo Luxúria Canibal and António Rafael, as well as concerts curated under the cycle "E O Coração Que O Conte" with artists like Luís Severo, Manel Cruz, and Jorge Cruz . The fair will also screen classic films with connections to Godinho's work, including Kilas, O Mau da Fita and Fernando Lopes' Nós por Cá Todos Bem.

For younger visitors, the program includes storytelling sessions, creative workshops, and sensory theatre for babies and children. The contemporary art exhibition Lúcido Devaneio will run at the Municipal Gallery with guided tours throughout the fair.

Opening hours are Monday to Thursday from 12pm to 9pm, Friday from 12pm to 10pm, Saturday from 11am to 10pm, and Sunday from 11am to 9pm. All activities are free entry, with some requiring prior registration.
