The music-science cycle is to be played at the São Bento da Vitória Monastery.

The Monastery of São Bento da Vitória will host the MUSIC4L-MENTE cycle for the second time, a partnership between the DSCH – Shostakovich Ensemble, the Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education and the Teatro Nacional São João. The first concert is already on the 21st of December.

Cycle of concerts seeks to explore the interdisciplinarity between music and science in chamber music concerts. Reference works by great composers from the 18th to the 21st centuries will be performed. The performances are preceded by scientific preludes, which explore the intersection between music and science (from astrophysics and mathematics to neurosciences), by leading names in the scientific world. Pianist and artistic director Filipe Pinto-Ribeiro continues to curate the project.
