Last stage of the national cycling race to be held in Porto/Gaia

The main national cycling race ends, on August 15th, in Vila Nova de Gaia. There will be ten stages divided over 12 days, which end with an individual time trial between Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia, of 18.6 kilometers.

The course starts from Avenida de Francisco Xavier Esteves, in Porto, towards Ponte do Infante, where each cyclist cross the Douro River, towards the goal installed on Avenida Diogo Leite, in Gaia.

The 83rd Volta a Portugal takes place between the 4th and 15th of August, covering a total of 1,559.7 kilometers, from Lisbon to Gaia. In this edition, the peloton will be formed by 18 teams, with about 126 cyclists. Each formation can line up with a maximum of seven runners.
